What services do you offer?
We offer landscaping & yard work, moving & hauling, light demolition, assembly & installation, cleanup & organization, and painting & touch-up. If your project involves physical labor and doesn’t require a licensed trade, we can probably handle it.
How quickly can you start a project?
Most jobs can be scheduled within 2–3 days. For smaller tasks like furniture assembly or a single-room paint job, we can often fit you in same-week. Emergency cleanouts and storm cleanup get priority.
What’s the best mulch to use in Central Ohio?
For Columbus-area landscaping, we recommend double-shredded hardwood mulch — it holds up well through freeze-thaw cycles, retains moisture in summer, and breaks down slowly. We typically lay it 2–3 inches deep after edging beds clean.
How do you price jobs?
We price by the job, not by the hour. After a quick site visit or photo review, we give you a flat-rate quote so there are no surprises. Simple jobs like furniture assembly might start around $75–$100, while larger projects like full yard cleanouts are quoted based on scope.
Can you haul away the debris after demolition?
Absolutely. Every demo job includes full haul-away — we leave your property cleaner than we found it. We sort materials responsibly: recyclable metals go to the scrap yard, clean wood gets separated, and the rest goes to a licensed disposal facility.
What kind of paint do you use for interior jobs?
We recommend and use premium latex paints with low-VOC formulas — safer for your family and pets. For high-traffic areas like hallways, we go with satin or eggshell finishes that clean easily. Flat for ceilings, semi-gloss for trim and doors.
Should I pressure wash my deck before staining?
Yes, always. Pressure washing removes dirt, mildew, and old finish so the new stain can penetrate and bond properly. We use around 1,500–2,000 PSI with a fan tip to clean without damaging the wood grain, then let it dry 24–48 hours before applying stain.
How often should mulch beds be refreshed?
In Central Ohio, we recommend refreshing mulch once a year — typically in late April or early May after the last frost. If your beds look thin by summer, a light top-dress in August can help with moisture retention through fall.
Do you assemble gym equipment like Pelotons and squat racks?
That’s our specialty. We’ve assembled dozens of Pelotons, Rogue racks, Bowflex units, and treadmills. Most home gym setups take 1–2 hours. Being wrestlers, we actually know how this equipment should feel when it’s built right.
Who are the founders of MR Handyman?
MR stands for Myers & Rogotzke. Andrew Myers is an OSU wrestling alum studying engineering, and Ryder Rogotzke is a current OSU wrestler in business leadership. We built this company on the same values that made us competitive athletes: discipline, hard work, and showing up every day.
